Owner reporting
What to check in a villa owner reporting portal
An owner portal should help an owner understand what happened at their property and which records support the statement. Use a completed period to review the figures and explanations together.
Trace the statement to its records
Select a booking, an expense and an adjustment. Ask where each amount came from, how the owner can inspect its supporting record and who reviews it before publication. Confirm which documents and accounting workflows are supported for your jurisdiction.
Distinguish a balance from a payment
A statement balance, a scheduled payout and evidence of a completed transfer represent different events. Ask how each is labelled and which record confirms payment. Matching arithmetic in a demonstration alone does not prove a real settlement.
Connect property work with reporting
Review how an owner can understand cleaning, maintenance and an exceptional repair without seeing unrelated internal information. Check the explanation, supporting material and approval process your business needs.
Test with the owner’s questions
Can the owner find the period, understand a charge and ask about it without starting a separate spreadsheet? Walk through those questions in the owner demonstration, then validate the required workflows on your own approved records before rollout.
